The location is convenient to explore Blackpool's attractions.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was quite disappointing. The hotel itself felt very outdated and not well-maintained, with issues such as noisy plumbing and dirty corners in the room. The staff were aloof and unhelpful at times, which added to the frustrating stay.

this hotel really leaves a lot to be desired. my bathroom door handle was missing, and the tv didn’t work. after switching rooms, i ended up with a furnace masquerading as a room. looking for a bottle of water? good luck finding a plug for the kettle. i almost thought to leave a good review, but that just couldn’t happen.

The room was noticeably dated and in dire need of a thorough cleaning, with stained carpets and walls.

Our stay was mainly to visit some local attractions, with the Opera House and The Blackpool Tower being just around the corner. The room was a decent size and clean, which was appreciated after a long day of exploration. We noticed the new owner is actively upgrading parts of the place, which gives it potential. The staff were eager to help with anything we needed during our two nights there, making the experience a bit more welcoming.

The location of The New Osterley makes it very convenient for exploring Blackpool. It's just a short walk away from the main attractions, making it easy to get to places like the Tower. the room I stayed in had multiple issues. It was not clean. I found stains on the mattress and walls and even discovered a blood stain on the ceiling, which was quite unsettling. The communal toilet next to my room made the experience less comfortable. The lack of Wi-Fi in the room was frustrating, forcing me to stay in the reception area to get a decent connection. The noise from other guests was unbearable, especially at night. For the price, the condition of the facilities was disappointing, and I expected better. The staff did their best, but they were clearly overwhelmed with the issues around the hotel.

The staff was friendly, and I loved the massive room with tons of space for lounging. Clean towels daily were a nice touch, almost made up for the lack of luster.
But honestly, was I in a hotel or a damp cave? The décor screamed ‘renovate me! ’ and the shower had all the excitement of a dripping tap.
